Surname in Maheshwari Samaj
We have tried to accumulate all the data regarding the maheshwari surnames and gotra so that upcoming generation at least know their surname gotra. Although these days there are so many surnames which are based on their local business and culture but originally we are only 82 surnames and khanp.
There is no obligation to opt for the newsurname but you should know the original one too.
